The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) has entered a new era of digital service delivery and transparency following a historic triple-launch aimed at improving conditions for nearly 70,000 teachers nationwide.

Acting Minister for Education, Hon. Kinoka Feo, MP, officially launched the new TSC Website, the Corporate Plan, and the Teaching Service Development Plan. This milestone directly delivers on the Prime Minister’s mandate to “Leave no teacher behind.”

The triple-launch addresses long-standing logistical challenges, particularly for educators in rural areas, by introducing modernized systems and improved structural governance.

The three major pillars launched include:

  • Official TSC Website: Eliminates expensive travel for rural teachers by providing instant online access to forms, personal files, and policies.
  • The Corporate Plan: Aligns TSC operations with the Medium-Term Development Plan (MTDP IV) to boost provincial service delivery.
  • Teaching Service Development Plan: Focuses on upskilling the workforce, managing performance, and elevating the teaching profession.

“The TSC is the custodian of our most valuable national asset—our teachers,” said Acting Minister Feo during the event. “If TSC is efficient, our teachers are motivated. If our teachers are motivated, our children learn better.”

Digitizing these systems aims to promote good governance, cut administrative waste, resolve ongoing payroll issues, and ensure education funding goes straight to classrooms.

The landmark event was witnessed by key education leaders, including TSC Chairman Mr. Maini Mike Ugaia, Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra, Office of Library and Archives Director General Mr. Dennis Bagelo, and TSC Commissioners Dr. Charly Muke and Mr. Kakaito Kasi.
