Welcome to the Teaching Service Commission Website
Messages from our leadership
Education is the foundation of every nation's progress. The Teaching Service Commission plays a pivotal role in ensuring our teachers — the architects of tomorrow's Papua New Guinea — receive the professional and industrial support, fair treatment, and recognition they deserve. I encourage all stakeholders to work together in delivering quality education to every child across our beautiful nation.
The Teaching Service Commission is committed to building an efficient, professional, equitable and transparent service for all teachers in Papua New Guinea. This marks a historic milestone in TSC's journey — the platform serves as a means of the service of Teaching Service Commission and provides access to important information to the general public.
The Three Functional Wings
of the Teaching Service Commission
Three distinct leadership offices, each governing a critical dimension of Papua New Guinea's government teaching service.
The Commissioner (Chairman) heads the TSC, bearing ultimate responsibility for governance, statutory compliance, and strategic direction under the Teaching Service Act 1988. Chief liaison to the Minister for Education.
Shapes all rules, frameworks, and long-term strategies governing the PNG teaching service — ensuring evidence-based policy aligned with national education goals and Vision 2050.
Drives day-to-day delivery of all TSC services to teachers nationwide — from appointments and discipline to leave processing and the four regional offices across Papua New Guinea.
